Caffeine panic attacks

Did you know there is a direct caffeine panic attacks connection? This article explains the correlation and what you can do to control your panic anxiety attacks condition.

Although this may not come as a surprise to you, I shall explain how a mere act such as drinking can lead to a severe panic attack.

Here are some statistics. More than half of panic disorder sufferers will have an attack if they were to have a dosage of caffeine. Half of PD sufferers have panicky feelings after consuming four cups ( 6oz. Each ) of coffee. Non-sufferers will get panicky, too, but not without a far higher consumption. An individual with a panic disorder is so sensitive to the feelings within their body, and even just consuming 2 cups of coffee will bring about a "buzz", enough to make a panicker wonder why their heart is thrashing quicker, why they are hotter, ( so bringing about the "OH NO!!! A heart attack!! Feeling which turns into a full-on panic episode. )

This is what happens when you have that drink of coffee. When you ingest caffeine in any form, it has effects on your adrenal glands. Yes, that is where adrenaline comes from in your body. The caffeine will raise the level of adrenaline in your system, and if you consume enough of it, you can exhaust those glands. When your adrenal glands are exhausted, they can not correctly reply to stress. They no longer will realease enough adrenaline into your system.

You might imagine , as panic disorder sufferer that exhausted adrenal glands is not a bad thing. the truth is, it in fact can be very harmful for you. Here are just a few examples of what  weak adrenal glands could do for you

 1. Weakened Immune Response - panic fits there's a chemical in your brain called "adenosine". It routinely acts as a natural tranquilizer or sedative, but caffeine meddles with it.

2. Many studies have been conducted on a chemical known as lactate, which, when injected into a non panic disorder subject, does nothing, but when injected into a panic subject, it'll produce a panic episode.

When you have a drink of coffee, you are directly raising the levels of lactate in your system. This can have undesirable effects on the panic sufferer.

Therefore, if you want to remove the physical symptoms of panic attacks, you must cut caffeine out of your system.

Reducing the amount of caffeine in your system will remove many of the physical symptoms you have. However, this will not solve the root problem that causes the panic attacks.

The safest way to do that is to consult our panic away and linden method sections of our site. You can find out more about natural cures for panic attacks in this section.
